The items that are always on

Functionality storage records your answer to the cookie banner so it stays out of your way on the next page. Security storage helps protect the contact form from automated submissions. Neither stores your name or the text of any message.

What analytics would tell us

With analytics storage allowed, we see totals such as how many people read the Support Data Review page before writing to us, or which of the five stages on the home page they stop at. It helps us decide where the explanation is unclear. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not try to find out.

Advertising and personalisation items

Advertising storage, advertising user data, ad personalisation and personalisation storage are listed because the consent panel follows a standard set of categories. We would only use the advertising items to check whether a campaign brought visitors to the site. Personalisation storage has no effect here, since every visitor sees the same pages.

Cookies and the support work we do

Nothing on this website is connected to the sorting or drafting setups we build for clients. Those run inside the client's own support tools, under the terms of their engagement, and are not affected by any choice you make on this page.

Duration and questions

A choice made in the banner is remembered for twelve months and then asked again. If you notice something stored by this site that this page does not describe, please tell us at info@mistyheron.com so we can check it and correct the policy.

Why we ask before storing anything

Support teams think carefully about what they store about their own customers, and we would like this site to hold itself to the same standard. That is why the banner asks first, why the optional categories default to off, and why the policy describes each item rather than referring you elsewhere.

Looking at what is stored

Your browser's site settings, reached from the icon beside the address bar, list every cookie and storage item this site has placed. With only the defaults, you should see the consent choice and the security item. Anything else means you allowed it, or something is wrong and we would like to hear about it.

If you use a shared computer

Choices made in the banner are stored in that browser, so on a shared support-desk computer they carry over to whoever uses it next. Clearing the site's data at the end of a shift removes them.

Future changes

If we add a feature that needs a new category of storage — for example a booking calendar for review calls — this page will describe it first and the banner will ask again.

Where the controls are

The banner offers Accept all, Reject all and a preferences panel with a separate switch for each category. Required items appear switched on and cannot be turned off, since the site would not remember your answer without them.
